概要	In order to foster intercultural communicative competence in students from the Department of Hispanic Studies at a Japanese university, we carried out an online intercultural exchange with a school of Japanese in Spain. Such project was based on the so-called Cultura model, although a number of modifications were made to meet the needs and characteristics of the participating students and institutions. This article compares the Cultura model with the exchange conducted between Japanese and Spanish students, describes its implementation and results, and, finally, proposes some measures to improve efficacy of future exchange projects.
