Details | This paper describes the results of a class practice of creating dictionaries for learners of the Japanese language to develop Japanese language teacher training skills. The two research questions are as follows:
1. Can students recognize the complex vocabulary system of synonyms and polysemous words and write a dictionary? 2. What kind of insights do students gain and how do they revise their lexicons based on the comments they receive in the peer activities? As a result, we found the following two things. 1. Students notice the existence of synonyms and polysemy before revising, but it is difficult for them to write discriminative meanings as word senses. 2. With appropriate comments, students will be able to systematically grasp the meaning of words and write discriminative meanings. |
