Details | Online or hybrid learning has, over the past three years, become a vital part of most educators' teaching experience. One particular form of virtual exchange, often referred to as COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning), has recently exploded in popularity and many teachers who have heard of it are quite eager to implement it in some form as part of their curriculum. However, starting such a project can be daunting, as finding a partner institution/collaborator, developing a project, and implementing it can be time-consuming and overwhelming. In addition, other aspects of designing such projects, from considering technology and shared platforms, to student consent and privacy, are just a few of the many issues teachers and administrators need to consider when developing COIL projects for their institutions. This session is primarily for those who are interested in starting (or have recently started) a COIL project |
