概要 | This study examines how a gender-neutral law, like the Belgium's career break law, can produce gendered outcomes due to social context. It explores the law's changing purpose, its actual usage, and whether women use it out of choice or necessity, highlighting how career interruptions for housework hinder progress towards gender neutrality. The findings suggest that changes in social structures and customs are necessary for neutral laws such as Belgium's career break law to function as intended. |
