概要 | The question of how to motivate Japanese university students to study harder is a recurring theme among educators across the nation. Although there is no magical solution, it is surely possible to improve the situation. Noting the ways in which students spend their free time may provide a clue. Teenagers today are the first generation to have grown up in an environment in which access to, and utilisation of, Internet applications and social media are taken for granted. Bearing this in mind, teachers may be well advised to consider how, and to what extent, they may be able to integrate such technology into their courses. This article represents a small step in that direction. |
