概要 | This study considers the relationship between global citizens and identity. To this end, I explore cultural theories for Global Citizenship Education (GCED): media, identity, morality. While the Sustainable Development Goals and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) have received much attention under the state of emergency, primarily environmental or economic aspects, cultural-political perspectives seem to be neglected. The Japanese government has promoted ESD incorporating the concept of citizenship education, yet we have not reached a consensus on citizenship education. Given that a pandemic moral panic is a global issue, we need to see the cultural responses to consider future education. Additionally, since the lack of discussion about identity politics is a significant problem in the Japanese education curriculum, I focus on the importance of identity politics. |
