概要 | Japanese final particle “KANA” is normally used as a monologue and means the speaker’s doubt. In this article, I claim that it is used to a listener. In a dialogue, “KANA” becomes like a mitigation as a euphemism or a blame depending on a context. If the speaker believes that the proposition expressed having existed in the context, but the hearer does not believe it not having existed in the context, it is recognized to be a euphemism. On the other hand, the hearer believes that the proposition expressed having existed in the context, but the speaker does not believe it not having existed in the context, it is recognized to be a blame. |
