| 概要 | This paper outlines a course in Kyoto, Japan that introduces students, both Japanese and from overseas to the central theories and challenges of peace and conflict studies taught through the medium of peace education methodology. The course addresses the following issues: violence and non violence, peace education, UNESCO's Culture of Peace, security, conflict resolution, nationalism, human rights and gender perspectives related to peace and conflict. Peace education emphasizes multiple approaches to these issues encouraging for example, critical inquiry. |
