概要 Generally speaking, the vast majority of English language teachers and researchers apparently accept that Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) is the single best approach to adopt in the classroom. This report investigates the premise with particular reference to learning context, and highlights areas of concern about the versatility of some aspects of CLT. Evidence suggests that teachers ought to adopt a more nuanced approach to their methodology that fully accounts for the needs and abilities of their students, particularly in the EFL setting.
