| 概要 | This article provides an overview for developing learner autonomy and independence using Anki: a free, open-source, spaced repetition digital flashcard (word card) program. If teachers provide their students with ways of promoting self-access language learning and self-directed language learning, and act as facilitators in their students’ learning, then learner autonomy and learner independence will be engaged. Anki is one way teachers can promote both self-access and self-directed learning, therefore, promoting both learner autonomy and learner independence in their students’ language learning. This article is an introduction to such a technique. By taking charge of their own learning and being in control of their own learning and their own learning processes, our students will have the opportunity to master the language they are studying. Researchers argue that students need to be personally involved and need to play with the language to develop a feel for how it works. |
