概要	In this study, we investigate the question: What effect, if any, is there from the interest level and frequency of reading in the L1 on the language acquisition in terms of vocabulary acquisition in the L2. First, we briefly review the literature. Next, we explain the methods of our study. After that, we discuss the results, and then we conclude the study with suggestions for further research.
