概要 | It is said that the Liberal International Order (ILO) led by the US is in flux, if not in decline. To help sustain this ILO, the idea of minilateralism is introduced to help sustain multilateral institutions such as the UN, which are malfunctioning. The structure of this order/system is like Japanese castles' Ishigaki, where big stones (multilateral institutions) are the foundations, but many gaps between and among these big stones can be filled by small stones (minilateral arrangements) . This structure makes the Ishigaki sturdy. The same logic applies to international order. |
