概要	ISO/WD TS 25391 General guidelines for in-house translation departments, a project being advanced jointly by Japan and Austria (with the title revised from 'translation departments' to 'translation service units' following discussions through May 2025), underwent intensive full-day review on June 25, 2025, at the Takamatsu General Assembly, resulting in substantial revisions. The major revisions included a fundamental restructuring of the chapter on the functions of in-house translation units and significant enhancement of practical guidance. Newly established items include the establishment of early consultation systems with in-house translation units, the strategic role of in-house translation units in managing external outsourcing, setting performance measurement indicators, related services such as interpreting and localization, the importance of continuous professional development, and benchmarking processes with other organizations.
