概要	The COVID-19 pandemic forced many institutions to move lessons online with remote instruction. Many school events and activities were initially canceled or postponed, but as the pandemic continued, teachers had to adapt to the reality under the pandemic and eventually transition some educational events to a remote format. One example of this is a Model United Nations (MUN) conference, which can be described as a fully synchronous, collaborative project. Conference organizers chose to either cancel their conference or transition the conference to a remote format that complied with pandemic protocols at the time. This paper outlines one such transition that an MUN conference in Kyoto endured using asynchronous computer-mediated tools and services, and reflects on the feedback of its participants’ teachers, concluding that while aspects of a remote, asynchronous MUN were deemed appropriate for MUN tasks, the pre-pandemic synchronous framework was favored by its participants.
