Details National and regional culture has shown to have effects on the spread and diffusion of innovation. This phenomenon can be observed in a special way when looking at how technologies developed in Japan around cultural norms and failed to become popular around the world where those norms are somewhat different and those differences can be measured. This paper examines these cultural influences on not only the spread of technology and innovation but the acceptance of it. In particular, this paper will explore these effects of culture on the use, spread, and creation of technologies related to education.
