Details | The US and the Soviet Union signed the PTBT (Partial Nuclear Test Ban Treaty) in 1963, which marked the starting point for détente. This article reviews a book on these crisis years. This reviewer concludes that this book makes a great contribution to the Cold War history studies in that it reveals that American and Soviet allies influenced their senior partners and the development of international relations in this period. |
