Details This article discusses issues on "TRKI" (Test of Russian as a Foreign Language, a representative test for measuring the Russian language proficiency of foreign learners), and "JLPT" (Japanese Language Proficiency Test, a representative test for measuring Japanese language proficiency). Taking the Japanese Language Proficiency Test's vocabulary questions as an example, the paper gives some hints from its vocabulary questions on how to place emphasis on the interrelationships between words, and create a brand new questioning style to check students' vocabulary knowledge. The paper also considers how to incorporate JLPT questioning style into creating vocabulary review questions for Russian language learners.
