Details | This study attempts to examine how teaching experiences as an extracurricular program help students in a TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) program to learn to teach English and how this learning-in-practice experience forms and shapes their multiple identities through a longitudinal case study. Focusing on three Japanese university students in the TEFL program who volunteered to participate in an extracurricular teaching project, the analysis was carried out to examine their developing patterns not only as a TEFL student, but also as an instructor for young learners, and as a community member, during two year teaching experience. |
