Details The permanence of emptiness: Japanese fictions and symbols in Mexican narrative contemporary (1980-2015), written by David Issai Saldaña Moncada and edited in 2023 by the Regional Center for Multidisciplinary Research of the UNAM represents a current reflection on intertextual literary relationships and the broader cultural presence of Japan in literature Mexican letters of the 20th and 21st centuries, but especially from the 80s onwards. The book initially sets out its theoretical foundations and continues a chronological structure showing how the literary field has evolved Mexican in relation to Japanese culture. Finally, it focuses on a deeper analysis of the relatively recent Japanese works of three Mexican authors: Juan García Ponce, Pablo Soler Frost and Mario Bellatín.
