| Details | Daniel Arrieta, associate professor at Kyoto University of Foreign Studies, joined the Institute for Latin American Studies (IELAK) as a new researcher in 2024. The author uses Bakhtin's dialogism and carnival theory to present a method for comparing values across cultures. Utilizing the concept of intertextuality, he analyzes the process by which Japanese literature was adapted to a Latin American context. Utilizing examples from Brazilian literature and elsewhere, it theoretically examines "autofiction".
Focusing on "temporality," a common attribute of literature and music, it proposes a form of comparative literature that sheds light on the interactions between the arts. |
