Details This is a review of a book on CIA's history. This reviewer argues that this book is significant in that this is one of the few historical studies on the CIA from its foundation in 1947 to the present. It is also important in that it not only traces the organizational transition of the CIA, but also discusses the political and international context in which successive CIA directors were placed to accomplish duties US presidents expected.
