Details	現代の国際NGOの先駆という史的評価が定着している国際主義的な民間研究団体太平洋問題調査会(The Institute of Pacific Relations, The IPR)の日中戦争期から1950年代にまたがる活動を、一次資料(The IPR Papersなど)を用いて実証的に叙述した。その際、IPR内の各国支部（e.g. 米国支部、英国支部、日本支部）に集ったアジア太平洋問題専門家層が、この地域の平和で安定した国際秩序の樹立に向けてどのような構想を具体的に描いていたのかについて、民際外交の展開という視点から探究した。
