Details | This essay analyzes the activities of the Committee on Comparative Politics (CCP) of the Social Science Research Council (SSRC) directed toward the development of modernization theory as an influntial paradigm of comparative politcs(CCP). It mainly examines the activites of the CCP in its initial phase by focusing on the intellectual process in which full-fledged modernization theory slowly took shape out of a constellation of ideas. |
