Details 20世紀のアジア太平洋地域に関して各国政府・政府間間組織・国際主義的民間団体及びそこに集った専門家層が‟リベラルな国際主義”の理念を中心とする国際秩序形成にどのような役割を果たし、また影響力を行使したのかに関して実証的に探究したアンソロジー：[担当範囲, Chapter 7 ] 米国社会科学研究評議会(The Social Science Research Council)内に1954年に設立された「比較政治学委員会（The Committee on Comparative Politics)」が、非西洋世界でいち早く近代化に成功した日本の事例をどのように参照しつつ政治的近代化に関する一般理論構築に向けて活動を展開したのかに関して実証的に論じた。その際、そのような活動の中心にいた日本政治を専門とする政治学者ロバート・E・ウォード（Robert E.
