Details | This is an expanded and modified version based on my keynote speech in Taiwan in 2017.
The added part is the discussion on China's so-called hegemonic ambition, to which I expressed some skepticism citing China's demography, lack of real allies, etc..East Ais's current security structure and Japan's long-term trade strategy, etc are explained. China may be a juggernaut right now, but contrary to conventional thinking, China will have a tough time in 20 or so years due to population onerous and others. |
