Details The purpose of this paper is to document the experience the author had at a Japanese University of facilitating ‘emergency’ online learning during the first semester of 2020. This will include an outline of the findings from data collected via an online survey given to 160 students from 6 different classes at the Kyoto University of Foreign Studies (KUFS). It will also offer practical suggestions for improvements based on the feedback from students and the teacher’s own experiences during the courses.
