Details | The purpose of this paper is to report on the transition process from print to digital books in a university-wide extensive reading program. Because of lack of access to the university extensive reading library during the pandemic, an extensive reading program run through the online extensive reading system, Xreading, replaced the previous extensive reading management program, M-Reader. The goal of this study is twofold: First, using data from Xreading and a survey delivered online, student reading activity and their experience of that activity will be characterized. Second, the study will present a comparison of the two types of reading programs at our university: the former one with our physical library tracked by M-Reader, and the new one with a digital library via Xreading. |
