| Details | We organized a telecollaboration project between students of Hispanic Studies at a Japanese university and students of Japanese at a Japanese culture center in Spain with the aim of promoting the intercultural communicative competence of our students. Based on the methodology of the Cultura model, students discussed in online forums and, only in Japan, engaged in classroom related activities. With quantitative data of the interactions in the forums, qualitative data from a discourse analysis of the forum discussions, and students’ answers to a questionnaire, we consider the effect that different kinds of tasks had on student’s online collaboration and intercultural reflection. Based on this analysis, we offer some suggestions for the design of activities in telecollaboration projects. |
