Details | There are road movies of elderlies in Hollywood. Among them there are films with certain number of solo male travelers. The themes of the movies are reuniting and reconciliation with their family members. The elderly male solo travelers go on the road to find their "home." It redefines the gender role of men in the patriarchal society. The article looked at two films, "About Schmidt" (2002) and "Everybody's Fine", (1990). |
