Details Translation has recently been recognized for its potential in terms of developing skills for communication in L2 learners. This paper reviews previous research and studies related to the area of Translation in Language Teaching (TILT), and discusses how effective and helpful translation can be in L2 teaching and learning. Examples of activities are introduced to provide ideas for utilizing translation in the classroom.
