| Details | In May 2021, as a certification organization, Osaka University of Tourism awarded (individual) certification for the ISO international standard ISO13611:2014 Interpreting - Guidelines for Community Interpreting to nine interpreters (one for the Chinese language, three for the Portuguese language and five for the English language). This paper compiles the results of the multilingual aptitude tests carried out so far this year and further discusses the implementation of the aptitude tests. This paper then discusses the role of universities of higher education in ensuring the quality of language competence of community interpreters and interpreting students. |
