Details | This paper focuses on the ISO 13611:2014 guidelines for community interpreting and analyses the criteria for creating language-specific adequacy test questions. The importance of the interpreting process and its language operational competence was clarified and the cultural and linguistic characteristics of each specific language combination were explored in detail. Specifically, the key points and examples of question creation in the English-Japanese, Russian-Japanese, Portuguese-Japanese, Chinese-Japanese and French-Japanese combinations were examined. The effectiveness of the test questions was also measured and evaluated, and directions for improvement were explored. The research results revealed specific problems and strengths in each language combination, and this report proposes effective methods of creating appropriate test questions based on these. |
