概要	EFL writing teachers have the luxury of selecting from a wide range of well-produced textbooks for their classes but, while these volumes may be suitable for guiding students along a path of incremental skill growth, relying on them as the sole source of input is not always the best idea. Doing so can sometimes breed a sense of familiarity with unit organisation that starts to affect the willingness of some students to fully engage with the material. Making creative use of photographs as input can rekindle student motivation at times like this. The following account details an example of a task that utilizes photographs in this way.
