| Details | This paper examines current research on second language listening and discusses challenges involved in applying these findings to the development of interactive instructional materials. It argues that effective listening materials must provide learners with opportunities to develop all of the skills required to become competent listeners. The paper concludes that teachers should deepen students’ understanding of these skills and design classroom activities that allow learners to practise them. |
