| Details | This paper outlines teaching strategies that instructors can use to help English language learners bridge the gap between EFL and ESL contexts. It argues that pre-departure preparation should be considered an essential component of study abroad programmes. The authors proposes three practical approaches for preparing students: modelling and analytical tasks, the use of short academic presentations, and peer-mentoring programmes. |
