概要	This paper reports on an ongoing project that aims to develop communicative competence in English as an international language (EIL) using non-native English variations with AI speech synthesis technology. A pilot study was conducted in which one unit was implemented to investigate whether the learners’ listening skills would improve and whether their perception of EIL would change.
