概要	This presentation examines how ISO international standards can be applied to higher education, drawing on insights from a symposium held at Kyoto University of Foreign Studies in June 2025. Focusing on translation and interpreting education, particularly the university's community interpreting program aligned with ISO 13611:2024, the talk explores how universities can strategically engage with standards while preserving academic autonomy and local context. Key themes include active participation in standard development, academic-practice integration, and addressing challenges such as curriculum updates, access, and cost barriers.
