概要	In an effort to respond to the abrupt pandemic-driven switch to online learning in the spring of 2020, facilitators of a large extensive reading program (2,600+ students) at a medium-sized private Japanese university made the move away from physical books to digital ones via the web-based digital library and extensive reading tracker: Xreading. One of the immediate consequences of this change was that audio was available for each of the books in the library. This meant that learners now had the option of listening to the book that they were meant to read. The purpose, then, of this presentation is to report on our exploration of learner preferences for audio during their extensive reading activities. Which learners chose to listen to audio on a regular basis and why did they make that choice? Also, how did they listen to the audio? Did they read and listen at the same time? Or did they only listen to the audio? And which of the five speeds did they select? In addition to sharing survey and interview results, the presenters will also make recommendations for how to identify which learners might benefit most from adding extensive listening to their extensive reading practice.
