概要	The Lazarillo de Tormes, anonymous and around 1554, supposes the inauguration of a literary genre - that of 'the picaresque' - that would have to have continuations and epigones for at least a century. Elements of the genre such as the apparently autobiographical narrative of a character of low social extraction, the chronological account of his life since childhood, the succession of different masters with evolution of the character, as well as the justification of a life without honor or "a case", plus the denunciation or social criticism, will serve as a basis for comparing the classic Castilian book with the short story "A confisión de Leontina", by Lygia Fagundes Telles, initially published in 1949. The concept of intertextuality, understood as "everything that puts it in relation, manifest or secret, with other texts" (Genette 1982: 7) will be used.
