概要 This study tried to examine citywide anti-(cyber) bullying activities initiated by students. Since 20007, representative pupils of 12 junior high schools in Neyagawa city have been discussing how to reduce bulling problems. Among various activities, drama was found to be especially effective at encouraging bystanders to intervene in cases of bullying. The scenarios performed by pupils moved large audiences including attending press. The DVD containing footage of the drama was distributed to all schools in Neyagawa city for wider audience. To assess the effect of the activity, we compared the number of bullying cases reported in 2009 with that of 2006, according to the municipal statistics compiled by the City Board of Education (CBE). The record showed that the number of bullying reported had decreased from 58 cases to 15, and number of school absentees diminished by half.
