概要 While building “a can-do list for a target language” is encouraged in many educational institutions throughout Japan, it is not easy for teachers to put a descriptor in classroom activities, to connect it with teaching material in the textbook, and to utilize it to improve learners’ performance. For learners, it is also important to use it to recognize their personal language ability and realize what they can do, in terms of developing autonomy.
This workshop will present an example of how to use CEFR-J, which our grant group has been developing, to raise learners' English language proficiency, especially speaking proficiency including spoken production and interaction. In addition, the ELP-oriented approach to promote the development of learner autonomy will be introduced.
