Details	This presentation illustrates a range of free and open source software which is particularly useful for those who may either prefer not to use proprietary software, or more commonly, who simply don’t have access to proprietary software. It briefly compares open source and free software to proprietary software and highlights the advantages that it has for the user. Finally, it introduces some of the open source and free software alternatives for many of the generic computer based tools usually found on today’s personal computers.
