Details | Japanese Ise Monogatari and the Spanish Book of Good Love are important milestones in the literatures of their respective countries for their literary quality and for the novelty that they suppose in a specific historical and cultural moment in which the written language had not been completely fixed and in which great changes of format and literary style began to make its appearance. The ideology that underlies the genesis of each work, in particular the vision of love, sex and personal relationships, seems to be different in both cases and explains a very different way of seeing life by both cultures . The object of this work is to look for concrete elements in the two texts to contrast them and to arrive at some conclusion on these ideologies. |
