Details	米国上院でのCTBT審議に関する公聴会などで戦わされた批准是非論では、検証問題、核兵器の信頼性・安全性、核爆発実験の定義問題、さらには発効要件などが主要な論点になった。こうした論点を詳細に検討しながら、核爆発実験を禁止しても（CTBTを批准しても）米国の核抑止体制を損なわないと論じた。
