Details	In this poster presentation I attempt to explain the nature of collaborative learning, and look at why it is believed it can contribute to a more positive learning experience for a broad cross section of students at the undergraduate level in tertiary institutions. I also outline, and give examples of, collaborative learning techniques I have introduced into two courses that I am currently teaching at Kyoto University of Foreign Studies.
