Details | The presentation aims to answer why the collaboration between industries, universities, and the government in Occupied Japan employed statistical quality control (SQC) methods to combat infectious diseases, especially tuberculosis (TB). The United States prioritized and assumed the prevention of infectious diseases and the reduction of mortality among GHQ personnel stationed in occupied Japan and their families and citizens. On the other hand, Japan needed to reduce the high mortality rate of infectious diseases among the Japanese population. |
