Details	This presentation details the development and use of a large-scale longitudinal learner corpus containing texts collected from Japanese first-year university L2 English learners (n = 500). Collection was conducted at different time points across three modes: academic writing, presentations, and discussions. The three sub-corpora were analyzed for lexical diversity using MTLD (McCarthy & Jarvis, 2010), and lexical sophistication was assessed following the methods of Crossley et al. (2013). Finally, the use of multi-word expressions (MWEs) in writing was tracked over time.
