Details	The research discussed in this presentation compares the differences in coverage provided by general word lists and EAL-specific word lists. To measure coverage of different word lists, a large-scale corpus of over 15 million words was first compiled covering nine content areas commonly taught in EAL classes. The corpus coverage was then measured using Green and Lambert's (2018) secondary school vocabulary list. Finally, the coverage provided by these lists was compared with Nation's (2006) BNC/COCA and the combination of West's (1953) General Service List (GSL) and Coxhead's (2000) AWL.
