Details	This presentation presents work in progress on the development of an ELL word list for secondary education level. The presenters use vocabulary profiles from over 300 ELLs collected from ELLs studying at an international school in Japan to explain why specific academic vocabulary gaps are significant, and why this causes learners to struggle in various school subjects.
