Details This presentation reports on a qualitative and quantitative analysis of 32 writing samples collected from students in a CLIL class. The analysis showed that in this type of learning environment, weaker students often struggle with the cognitive demands of academic writing. Based on these findings, the presenter explains why it is important to incorporate activities in CLIL classes that support the development of students’ academic writing.
